The codes do not change
LISSE, IMP, CHF, CHM, CENDRÉ and PYRITÉ remain identical in France and internationally.

Preparation guide
At Raoult & Beck, the same clay body may be offered in several preparations. LISSE, IMP, CHF, CHM, CENDRÉ and PYRITÉ identify a texture or a special effect. Particle size and grog content may vary by reference: the technical data sheet always remains the reference document.

Reading the range
The code helps identify a preparation quickly. It does not replace the data specific to each clay body.
LISSE, IMP, CHF, CHM, CENDRÉ and PYRITÉ remain identical in France and internationally.
Exact grog content and particle size depend on the clay body. Always open its technical data sheet.
Validate forming, drying, firing and glaze fit under your own conditions before production.
The six preparations
Each definition below is linked to the references actually available in the 2026 collection and to their technical data sheets.
A preparation with no grog.
Ultrafine, flour-like grog that is almost imperceptible to the touch. It feels close to a smooth clay body without actually being one, and greatly reduces drying shrinkage.
A fine-grog preparation. Its exact grog content and particle size depend on the clay body.
A medium-grog preparation. Its exact grog content and particle size depend on the clay body.
A special GE221 White Stoneware preparation, identified as “Smooth, ash effect” in its technical data sheet. It is not a standard CHF or CHM variant.
A special GE221 White Stoneware preparation. Its mineral grain remains visible after firing and under different finishes.
Characteristics are indicative. Always run your own forming, drying, firing and glaze-fit tests before production, and consult the safety data sheet.
